DNS opzoeken

Elk recordtype, met TTL's en DNSSEC-status, live opgevraagd door onze eigen resolverclient.

Deze tekst is nog niet beschikbaar in het Nederlands. Hij wordt in het Engels getoond tot er een vertaling is gepubliceerd.

DNS turns names into the records machines need: addresses (A, AAAA), mail servers (MX), aliases (CNAME), text policies (TXT), delegation (NS, SOA) and certificate rules (CAA).

Queries are sent live by our own DNS client to a validating recursive resolver, so you see what the internet sees right now. Each record shows its TTL — how long resolvers may cache it — which is why a change you just made can take a while to appear everywhere. The DNSSEC badge reflects the resolver’s validation (the AD flag).

Veelgestelde vragen

Why do I see different results than my computer?

Your device uses its own resolver, which may have cached an older answer until the TTL expires. Some providers also return different answers depending on the client's location.

How long does DNS propagation take?

There is no propagation as such — resolvers refresh when the cached record's TTL runs out. Lowering the TTL before a change shortens the wait.

What does NXDOMAIN mean?

The name does not exist in DNS. NOERROR with no records means the name exists but has no record of the requested type.
